The Stellar Survey Team was a specialized exploration and assessment division under Pyrotechnic Amalgamated, tasked with scouting and evaluating celestial bodies for potential mining and colonization opportunities. Established in 2467, this team was instrumental in securing some of PyAm's most valuable assets and claims. Their mission was clear: to venture into uncharted star systems, gather detailed astrophysical data, and assess habitability prospects for potential future colonies.

When the team stumbled upon what would later be known as the Pyro system, excitement and self-congratulations quickly filled the ranks. The early readings seemed promising: "Rich in mineral deposits, stable planetary bodies, maybe some flares here and there, but nothing we can’t handle!” was the consensus. In the eagerness to declare a victory, certain...quirky anomalies were overlooked.
